Hesters Way Baptist Church

FEBRUARY 2021 update

With cases of Coronavirus still rising and Gloucestershire in Tier 4, our Sunday service arrangements will now be online via Zoom:

1) We will meet on Sundays at 10:30am for a 35/40 minutes service, streamed on Zoom. Everyone is welcome. If you would like to join us online, contact Tim Welch or Katie Youlton and they will be able to send you the required access codes.

2) Our mid-week small groups continue to meet on Zoom through the week on different evenings, for exploring the Bible, prayer and catching up with each other. Please get in touch for Zoom codes and further details.

It’s great to welcome you to the Hesters Way Baptist Church website. There are a couple of things to let you know…

First, that the church is the people not the building!

This is really important to remember in the present Coronavirus crisis that the world is facing. Our opportunities to meet together in person may be limited, but faith and hope in Jesus continue to be our anchor…

Over coming months we will gradually find ways to resume other parts of church life, as long as activities are deemed as safe as possible.

Might God be calling you to join us as a mission partner in West Cheltenham in 2021?

Many local Christians are praying together for God’s Kingdom to come and transform lives, homes, schools and businesses with the peace and well-being of Jesus over the area.

As part of a local 24/7 Prayer Hub we pray every Saturday morning at 8.30am, enjoying unity with Christians from local churches.

At HWBC we really value the relationships in our reach, and we already connect with lots of people each week (via Boys Brigade, Family Space, CAP, Cheltenham YMCA, PSALMS, Scripture Union Schools & Community, etc.); and we definitely have big faith in the power of Jesus to give LIFE in all fulness.

If you are interested in finding out more, feel free to get in touch with Tim or Katie. One of our specific prayers is for workers to join us as we pray and work for West Cheltenham…

Jesus said: ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest field’ (Matthew 9.37-38).
